Caroline (1985) was born in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands. She has been taking acting classes since she was a teenager, but after obtaining her Master Degree in Social Geography, she decided to go to London and start her fulltime Drama training at East 15 Acting School. Part of her training was a module at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts in Moscow where she focused on Stanislavsky technique and stage movement, and a module at the Shakespeare Globe Theatre. In 2010 she graduated with an MFA in acting.
With her theatre ensemble 'The Bohemian Waxwing Ensemble' she performed in productions like 'A bright room called day', 'the Heidi chronicles', 'attempts on her life', 'blood wedding' and 'women of Troy'. Her final production before she returned to the Netherlands was a physical adaptation of 'Hecuba' by Lazarus Theatre Company, which was nominated for the best 'off westend awards'.
Back in the Netherlands, she performed in theatre productions like 'Alcestis', 'Rockstars', and many independent films like 'last exit home', 'Flawed', 'Star', 'Le Canape Fleuri', 'After the Rain' and 'Under her spell', which was selected for the Cannes Film Festival 2015. See was also seen in tv series like 'The Prooi' and 'GTST' and tv commercials like 'KLM', 'Saturn', 'Sizz' and 'Basic Fit'. She played the lead role of Michelle in the South Indian feature film 'Manglish', for which she was nominated as 'Best debutant actress' during the Indian Movie Awards in Dubai 2015.
She wrote her own play 'Factor 30' with theatre company TG MIK. She performed on several festivals like 'Cafe Theatre Festival', 'Georgie's Wundergarten' and 'Amsterdam Fringe Festival'. She also played the role of Emily in the English run of TG Nachtgasten in the London Space Theatre, and she played the leading role of Antigone in the 'International Theatre in English' adaptation of Antigone. She is orientated internationally, and besides acting, she works as a presenter, producer, voice actress and actress for corporate role play.
